California Update

Thanks for the great suggestions everyone! We have decided to change our plans slightly. We're going to stay in the Los Angeles area for this trip and save San Diego for another time. That way we can take our time exploring Disneyland/California Adeventure and maybe add in the aquarium or a harbor cruise. We'll let you know how it goes!

Adam and I went to Disneyland just over a year ago and while we were there one of the workers told us that February was the best month to come because it's so slow and no lines. We have a trip with the kids lined up for October and I can hardly wait. I'm hoping to hit Disneyland 3 days...so we can take our time and park hop. They have the cutest shows and parades. Make sure you hit some of the shows at California Adventure like they have a Playhouse Disney show & Aladin show and they are so fun. It gives you a chance to sit and relax instead of go, go, go. I'm so jealous...October seems so far! Oh well...your kids are a great age, so it will be so rewarding for you and Aaron. -Bethany

Aww lucky! We did Disneyland last year and it was SO MUCH FUN! My tip: Early Entry passes are SO WORTH IT. Get to the gates about 15-30 minutes before they open. Go to Fantasyland FIRST...the lines will be extremely short (if any at all) for the first hour or so. After that you will be waiting an hour for each ride! Use those fast passes whenever you can (get Buzz Lightyear ones while you go on Star Tours!) Do child swaps on the rides where one child is too small...one parent goes on the ride with older child, then you meet them at the exit/backend, and then you get to go on the ride with older child too, without waiting in line twice. Just ask a worker to set it up! Tarzan's Treehouse is a great spot to chill with the kids while mom & dad get to swap going on Indiana Jones.

Also if you havent already found it, disboards.com has great info. :) Have fun!
