1st Day 2011

After coming home from Idaho, the boys only had a week and a half to relax before school started. Boy, did the end of summer go by quickly!

Dallin is in Mr. Akers' second grade class.

Parker is in Ms. Smith's fourth grade class.

McKay is in Ms. Ballew's kindergarten class (all day!).

1 Month

We are so in love with this little girl! She is a great baby. She is gaining weight like crazy and already weighs eleven pounds. Jenna usually wakes up once a night and goes back to sleep until the morning. She does get collicky at times, but just squirms around, no screaming luckily. Parker is such a helper with Jenna. Whenever I'm trying to get something done (mostly make dinner), he'll hold her and keep her happy. Sophie loves her too and often has me put Jenna down so they can hold hands. We are blessed to have her in our family!

Stewart Camping Trip 2011

One of our favorite summer traditions is the Stewart Family camping trip. We have some of the best memories from these trips and make new ones each year. This year Aaron took the kids up on Friday and stayed until Sunday. I didn't feel like roughin' it with Jenna, so we just went up for the day on Saturday. (These first several pictures I stole from Heather.)
Proof that I did actually go to the camping spot!

We hang a hammock every year. The kids love it!

This year there were mushrooms everywhere.

Kristi found a loaded bb gun by the lake. The kids took turns shooting it.

I love this sweet pic. Aaron adores his little princess. (Even with messy hair.)

One for each hand!

Looooove this sweet pic of Sophie taken outside the fabulous outhouse.

Dallin has a knack for catching fish.

Sophie even caught a fish this trip.

Aaron found our ward's scouts at the lake and borrowed their canoe.

We can't wait for next year. Jenna will be the perfect age to be a dirt ball all trip long. I'm so looking forward to that! :)

Double Digits

Parker was so excited to turn ten because he would be in the double digits. We also talked about how he is one decade old. My how fast these ten years have flown by! Parker loves reading, playing basketball, riding his bike, and playing with his little sisters. He is a great helper (most of the time) and all his teachers love him. He is in fourth grade this year and has decided to try out the cello. We hope he sticks with it! We are so blessed to have Parker in our family.

The Boys Are Back in Town

The boys had a fabulous time with Nana, Grandpa, and Dani over the summer. They flew up to Idaho for two weeks after Jenna was born and did all sorts of fun activities. Some of the things they did were tie-dyeing t-shirts, going swimming, riding the atv and tractor, having a shaving cream fight (their favorite), and lighting fireworks. They had a great time but were happy to be home. Hopefully we'll all get to go to Idaho next summer.

Thank you Olingers!!!!

The Gang's All Here

I never imagined that I would be the mom of five wonderful, smart, precious (and often precocious) children. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to raise these sweet spirits. Some days are harder than others, but the smiles, laughter, and making memories keep us going.

At the Fishin' Hole

Aaron took the boys on an overnight fishing trip while the girls stayed home and had a game night. They went to Haigler Creek, just past Christopher Creek. It was the first time they had been to this spot (it was recommended by a friend). They had a great time and we might try to plan another trip to this spot.

This little fishing spot turned out to be quite plentiful with fish. The boys brought sixteen fish home! They had also caught about six more that got away.

After they finished fishing they headed to the rocks for some swimming. The water wasn't very deep, but they had fun getting wet.

Dallin seems to find himself a pet every time we visit the creek. He tricked us all when he got home and told us it was in his treasure box. Luckily Aaron made sure he left it where he found it!

Jenna Lyn is Here!

On our way into the hospital to meet our baby girl!

Jenna Lyn Pratt
Born on July 6 at 12:57pm, 8 lbs. 13 oz., 20 1/2 inches

The very excited oldest brother. Parker had to make sure he was the first sibling to hold Jenna.

Sophie loves her little sister.

McKay held her once and that was enough for him. He hasn't held her since.

I am so blessed to have two little girls. I hope they become best of friends.
