Our garden is still going strong. This is our first carrot that Parker proudly picked. He also picked one that came out red, we think because it was next to the beets. We've also got lots of romaine and salad bowl lettuce, yellow squash, cauliflower and broccoli, two tomato plants (that both have little tomatoes on them), dill, potatoes, pepper, and zinnias. Aaron has done a great job keeping the garden watered and weeded. The only plants that didn't work out for us were cucumbers, marigolds, cilantro, and some of the broccoli plants. We think part of the problem was that the chickens got to the young plants before we got them covered with nets. Now that we've got that problem solved we're hoping to continue planting new seeds and harvesting food from our garden.

It looks like you've been busy! I love all the crafts you made. I hope you'll teach me how to etch the glasswear - I love mine that you made for me.

Your garden sounds awesome! I'm impressed by all of the stuff you have growing. Our garden is a little pathetic this time--we planted late and not as much as usual. We have lots of lettuce for salads though, which is nice. We've never had luck here with cucumbers--I think the season for them is too short.
Good work! That is really cool.
Did Parker get his glasses yet?
