Diaper Stash

I've been looking on Craigslist pretty frequently lately to try and find a good deal on some cloth diapers and supplies. Up until the last week I haven't been too impressed with the ads that I've seen. Most of the sellers were still asking a lot of money for their things. Well, I finally found a couple people that were selling their diapers in my price range and my diaper stash is looking great. I budgeted $200 and have only spent $142. If I had bought all of these supplies new they would have cost at least $320 plus tax! This amount of diapers should last me through the first couple years and I'm looking forward to paying down debt with the savings! I know this isn't for everyone, but I'm excited to try it out and hopefully I can make it work. I'll let you know how it goes!

YES, keep us posted!! I want to hear. I met two moms at Gage swim lessons over the summer that LOVED cloth diapers...it made me curious, but I'm still skeptical!!

Hey Steph, how do you know Winter?? Her Mother in Law is Gage's preschool teacher, she drives from Tucson every week!! I LOVE her to death!! And she's Mandi Acedo's cousin...what a small world!!

Good for you....I've always wanted to give them a try, but with always having 2 in diapers...that seemed like A LOT of laundry! I look forward to the "review" post to see how you like them:) They are so much nicer now without pins!

I'm excited to hear about it too--but even more excited to find out if you're having a girl or boy! By the way what are those honey chunks for??

You are braver than I am. Kuddos to you for going green!

That sounds neat, not only will that save you money, but I'm betting your baby will be wanting to be potty trained sooner, since you don't have those super absorbant diapers. Do they still do diaper service or no?

I've always thought it was a great idea for provident living/preparedness too, 'cause if you can't buy diapers for whatever reason...
