Last summer we bought this lovely bottle of nasty tatsting polish to stop Parker from sucking his fingers. It worked for a couple months until he got used to the nastiness and just started licking/peeling it off when it was put on his fingers. So, we put it back in the medicine cabinet and forgot about it.
Yesterday morning as I walked by the boy's bathroom I could smell a distinct fingernail polish smell. Visions of spilled red polish began running through my head. So, I went into the bathroom but didn't immediately see anything, except McKay standing on the bathroom counter. Did I mention he's a monkey? Still not seeing anything, I asked McKay if he had gotten my fingernail polish (like any child would admit to this!). As I was talking to him I noticed something clear and flaky on his hands, opened the medicine cabinet, and voila! there was the nasty polish bottle. Luckily, the lid was on and the medicine cabinet was unaffected. McKay was not as lucky. He had put the polish all over his hands and feet. So, for the next little while, everytime he put his hands in his mouth he made his yucky face and cried. It didn't take him very long to figure out that putting his fingers in his mouth was not a good idea.
We're happy to say that the nasty polish has now worn off and was moved to a new location!

Maybe this will end McKay's interest in the medicine cabinet!?! Great story. Your header looks great too!
His face in that picture is priceless! I'm glad at least that is WASN'T the red nail polish like you feared.
Love your new header. This picture of McKay is so CLASSIC! His face says it all!
That is hilarious. Do you think he learned his lesson??? That is funny. My parents used stuff like that on me when I was little for biting my nails. I too, got used to it.
