1st Swim of the Season

The boys braved the cold water and went swimming for the first time this year at their friend Armand's house. Armand lives two doors down from us and has been a great playmate for Parker and Dallin. I've really enjoyed being able to let them go back and forth between our houses since schools been out. We will miss him when he goes back to his mom's house (in Boston) in June. Hopefully the boys will get to go swimming a couple more times before he leaves. After that we'll be going to the Stapley Junior High pool where we have a family pass. I know exactly how many times we have to go to make it worth the money!

Parker is able to swim and go off the diving board. He's definitely not swim team ready, but I don't worry about him too much. Dallin is nervous around the water and I'm dreading taking him to swimming lessons. He gives the teachers such a hard time because he doesn't want to be there. McKay is my brave one. He hasn't had any swimming lessons yet, but he went right into the water with his floaty suit on and was walking along the wall and letting his legs float. We'll be taking a mom and me swimming class together. I think he'll love it!

Amelia starts swimming tomorrow, and she's a little more like Dallin. Hopefully they'll both be braver and happier about swimming by the end of the summer!

P.S. How many times do you have to go to make it worth it?

I'm so glad the boys have been having fun with your neighbor. Swimming can be a blast. Katherine just started her lessons today.
