Family Campout

Our camping trip didn't get off to a wonderful start. Both McKay and Dallin got sick before we even made it to the Beeline Highway. Luckily, my sister Heather rode with us and was a big help in the always fun clean up process. I did think about turning around, going home and unpacking everything. But, we were on our way already and we decided to keep going.

The boys had sensitive tummies pretty much the whole time we were camping and even got sick a couple more times over our trip. But, we had fun with our family and we're glad we stuck it out.

Parker helped Aaron get the tent up this year. Last year I had to put it up with the help of my sister and dad. It was much nicer watching Aaron and Parker do the work!

We went fishing with my brother and sisters at Willow Springs Lake on Saturday. Ryan caught two fish within the first ten minutes of getting to our fishing spot!

I don't think I can ever go camping without my family. My mom and dad have a tent trailer (albeit an ancient one) that is fully stocked with silverware, pots and pans, paper products, games, treats, and lots of other things that would take up a lot of room in my car. Plus they always feed us delicious meals (we pitch in of course!).

There were two dogs wandering around by the bathroom on our last day. The boys enjoyed saying hi to them. One of the dogs had a tag on it, indicating that it belonged to a certain ranch. We nicknamed them Hank and Drover after the dogs in the "Hank the Cowdog" book series that Parker likes.

I'm so thankful for Aaron. He is a hard worker and doesn't hestitate to help me out when I need a hand. He made us a yummy cherry cobbler in the dutch oven this trip.

We're glad to be home!!

You are much more of a trooper than I would've been---sick on the way there=turning around for this wimpy mom! Way to go sticking in out. Looks like you made the best of it.

Looks like you had fun even though the boys were sick. We need to get together again. Thanks for having us over.
