This dresser is actually from our bedroom, but it just made the master bedroom seem too crowded. Luckily, when we bought the crib for Parker we bought it to match our own bedroom furniture. So the dresser goes great with the crib too, I just added a changing pad to the top.

One of the first ideas that I had was to have Sophie's name spelled out in letters on a shelf over the crib. Shelly was so sweet to buy the letters for my baby shower. But, when I got them home and held them up I decided to go a different direction. I traded in the paper mache letters for these taller wood letters. I spray painted them and hung them from striped ribbon. I love how the polka dots turned out!

I already had this set of white tab top curtains in my cupboard. To dress them up I sewed three different ribbons at the bottom and then lined them with black out fabric since the window faces east.

The closet doors were a dark brown stain with cheap plastic knobs. I spray painted them white and replaced the ugly plastic knobs with some crystal ball ones. Parker begged me to take him to Home Depot for about a week so that I could buy him a crystal ball for his own!

I knew that I wanted to make a memory board for the room and once I saw this fabric I fell in love. It's a cute pink paisley and it goes great with the green polka dot ribbon. The pictures on the board are of Sophie around two weeks. She was able to be a newborn model for a photographer needing portfolio pictures. I love how this turned out!

Thanks to everyone who helped me put this room together. I received Home Depot gift cards, Joann gift cards, and the letters from several friends. What a fun project! Now on to the next one!

SO CUTE, I love her room!
I can not believe that room. It is amazing! I am in awe of how much you accomplish. How do you do it?
Seriously, you rock. Can you come over and redecorate my house? I love everything about this room, and good call on the black-out shade. I hope she starts napping in the crib for you soon!
