The blue couches are comfortable but well worn and the fabric is dirty. They are also overstuffed and fill the room up quickly. I do like the way they are layed out, with the space to go through them at the corner by the hallway. The blue couches match the style of the rest of the house.
The peach couch would need to be recovered or slipcovered. Something that I'm not willing to do myself. I have no experience with it and I would be really upset if the job turned out less than perfect. So that means coming up with the money to pay for it. The peach couch is also a much smaller scale. You can tell by looking at the distance between the back of the couch and pictures on the wall. This is a good thing as far as room size goes. It makes the room feel bigger and there is more room behind the couch than before. (I don't think you can tell that very well from the pictures though.) The couch consists of four pieces plus a footstool. So it is also easy to move around and rearrange.

So, give me your thoughts. Should I slipcover the new couch? Rearrange it? Keep the dirty blue country couches? Do you know of a company that does reupholstery? I'll let you know how it turns out!

Is the peach couch comfortable to sit on? I know that with Todd, because he is freakishly tall, a couch has to be tall - or it hurts his back after a while. Are Aaron or you like that?
I want to learn how to slipcover - my Mom swears we could figure it out - if that is something you would like to do with us. you could even slipcover the blue couches, if you want to keep them and just freshen them up.
I like both of them. I am no help whatsoever!
The blue couches look more padded and comfortable that way. But, I really like the ottoman. It makes it easier to cuddle up and watch a movie together and I like putting my feet up. So, I think I would go with the peach couch if the stuffing in good enough to go through the work of recovering. The blue ones are cute as well.
Well you asked for some thoughts, so here you go. My mom has a little spanish couple in Phoenix that does reupholstery. They are very good and very reasonable. What is great about this option is that you can get super cute and great fabrics at the fabric store that you would never find at a furniture place...much more neutral and kid-friendly. BUT the fabrics run $12-$16 a yard (after discounts or sales) depending on what you like. That couch looks like a simple design, but it will still take a lot of fabric. I'm thinking by the time you got your fabric and paid for the labor, it would be maybe $800+, but I'm not expert by any means (my parents just got a ton of things reupholstered). I think that the sectional has an interesting design...but kind of more modern-ish. It is very nice to have more seating and I love our sectional, but I do like the look of your blue couches and the shape of them with your decor. If you do decide to get the sectional redone, you may want to look at craigslist options first to make sure theres not something you like second hand for a similar or less price. Comfort, Durability, and Kid-friendly are all things to definitely weigh into the equation. Sorry for the novel! Hope that helps!
I would go with whatever couch is most comfortable. I have no decorating instincts whatsoever so I'm afraid I am no help. Sorry. Good luck with your decision! I'll be happy to help you move your furniture around if that would help!
I would go with comfort too--and I second Bethany's comment about checking prices on craigslist versus re-covering, since that can be expensive. I would only re-cover if I loved the shape/size/comfort level of a piece of furniture, but not the fabric. I personally like the style of the blue couches more (and they look more comfy), but the peach one could be really cute too in a different fabric. (Sorry, not helpful, I know!) You have great decorating instincts, your house is cute, so I'm sure whatever you decide to do will look great. :)
